Here is a blog on women disciples I recently posted on the Laidlaw website, a result of working through Matthew over summer

"As is well known, an ongoing debate in Christianity is whether women could be disciples at the time of Christ."
Well known?
I'm a complementarian, and it has never occurred to me that women weren't included among the early disciples of Jesus. In fact, I've never even heard of that argument before.
(By the way, you need to correct the reference to Acts 9:26, it's actually 9:36).
I could be wrong, but it seems you are arguing against a straw man. The issue isn't whether women were considered disciples or exercised various forms of ministry in the early church.
The issue in 1 Cor 14, and 1 Tim 2, is completely different, and therefore to conflate these issues in your opening paragraph clouds the debate.
